VentureOff ("we", "us", "our") operates the VentureOff website and ski trip planning service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

VentureOff does not require user accounts or logins. We collect limited data to operate and improve the service:

Trip search inputs — city, resort, dates, and airport selections you enter in the planner form. These are processed in real time and are not stored in a user profile.
Affiliate click data — when you click a partner link (e.g. Booking.com, Aviasales, Alps2Alps), we log the partner name, resort, referring page, your IP address, and browser user-agent to track affiliate performance.
Standard server logs — your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, as collected by most web servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide real-time flight, train, and transfer results based on your search inputs.
Generate AI-powered resort tips and recommendations.
Track affiliate link clicks to measure partner performance and earn commissions that keep VentureOff free.
Analyse usage patterns to improve the service.

3. Affiliate Disclosure

Transparency notice: VentureOff participates in affiliate programmes with travel partners including Aviasales (TravelPayouts), Booking.com, Airbnb, Hostelworld, Alps2Alps, Ski-Lifts, Trainline, GetYourGuide, Rentalcars.com, and World Nomads. When you click a partner link and make a booking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us keep the service free.

Affiliate relationships do not influence our search results or resort recommendations. All flight, train, and transfer data is presented based on availability and relevance, not commercial partnerships.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

VentureOff uses minimal browser storage:

Service worker — for Progressive Web App (PWA) functionality and offline caching. No personal data is stored.
No advertising cookies — we do not use tracking pixels, retargeting cookies, or ad networks.
No analytics cookies — we do not currently use Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics platforms.

Third-party partner sites you visit via our links may set their own cookies. Please refer to their respective privacy policies.

5. Third-Party Services

VentureOff connects to the following external services to deliver its features:

Travelpayouts API — for real-time flight data.
xAI (Grok) — for AI-generated resort tips and summaries.
Affiliate partner websites — when you click outbound links to book travel services.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

Affiliate click logs are retained for reporting and commission reconciliation. Since VentureOff does not have user accounts, we do not maintain personal profiles or long-term user data.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal data without accounts, most interactions are anonymous. For any privacy-related requests, please contact us.
